TF5000 Display TAP

The Display TAP enhances the information displayed in the 7-segment display of the TF5000PVR(t) while the receiver is on. The TAP can be configured to provide the following

information:
- current time
- channel name
- record info: number/name of the channel being recorded and the remaining time
- playback info: the remaining playback time

The configuration menu can be entered by pressing the Exit key (by default) or the configured key.

SimplePIP

Switches by pressing the red key into the PIP mode and exchanges the PIP channels.

Standby

Standby TAP turns off the receiver after an inactivity phase of the remote control. The duration of the inactivity phase is configurable. The TAP defers the shutdown if any of the following is true when the countdown is finished:
- a program is being recorded
- a file (Video/MP3) is being played back
- an event is scheduled in the next couple of minutes Pressing any key on the remote control restarts the countdown timer with the configured value. In the last ten minutes prior to a shutdown the TAP shows a message window.
While the message is shown the shutdown can be canceled by pressing any key on the remote control or on the receiver.

IdleHdd TAP

The IdleHdd TAP sets the idle timer of the harddisk which is responsible for spinning down the harddisk (standby mode) after the specified inactivity period.
The period of time can be configured in the IdleHdd.ini file.

QuickJump

This TAP turns the coloured buttons into ad skipping keys during playback of a recording or optionally timeshifting. The skip durations are customizable. It also optionally allows the use of the numeric keys to specify an absolute time to jump to rather than a percentage.

PremiereDirekt TAP

This TAP sets the CAS flag for the portal for the German pay-TV channel Premiere and adds the Direkt channels.
Therefore this TAP doesn't make sense for people with a Premiere subscription.

Snake game

The idea of the Snake game is to eat the meal (diamonds&balls) to score points and the target is to get as much points as possible. At the beginning the Snake is short and the more you eat the longer your Snake grows and the more difficult it gets.
t is possible to go through trees (in some levels), but if the Snake run into stone or itself the game will end. Faster Snake speed and higher level gives more points per eating. With "Hall Of Fame" and possibility to save default speed & level parameters.

Filer

Filer represents an alternative to display and manage files stored on your Topfield PVR offering enhanced functionality compared to the original file list.

Advantages

• Recycle Bin
Instead of immediate deletion both files and folders can be moved into a virtual recycle bin. From here items can either be restored or deleted finally.

• Capability To Display All Files
Filer is not limited to standard file types like recordings or TAP files but allows to display and manage (rename, move, delete) all kind of files stored on hard disk.

• Watch Status For Recordings
For each recording Filer displays whether it has been watched fully or partially. The parts recordings have been watched are displayed in separate progress bars.

• Various Colour Settings
Currently one of four pre-defined colour settings (blue, green, red, grey) can be selected.

• Fast Decryption (FastCopy)
Decryption of a file by pushing just one button.

• Sorting
Filer offers further criteria to sort the file list incl. ascending/descending sorting.

• Various Font Sizes
For some lists and dialogs Filer offers various font sizes making the information displayed more readable especially on small screens.

• View of TXT, INI and LOG-Files
Filer can show the content of TXT, INI and LOG-files on the screen.

Overfly

This TAP automatically skips advertisement blocks.
These blocks are recognised by their 2.0 audio tracks vs. the Dolby 5.1 mode of the main movie.
At the same time Overfly allows to reduce the volume of the analogue output while an advertising block is running.
Another feature is to patch the REC file so that the playback always starts with the Dolby Digital Track.

WSSkiller TAP (autom. Wide Screen Signalling)

WSS meens Wide Screen Signalling.
It was special developed for 16:9 Televisions, so that these appropriate transmissions can indicate format-faithfully.
In addition some bits in the picture signal are used.
In the NTSC system and the YUV signal the WSS is integrated too.

EmptySettings.tfd

This TFD file is sent by TFDN_USB like a firmware to the the Topfield. With the next start you are in the menu and must reset there on factory setting. The system ID of the file is set that it can be up-loaded to each Topfield.

InfoTools

Das Tap "InfoTools" beinhaltet mehrere voneinander unabhängige Funktionalitäten, welche mittels Konfigurationsmenü vollständig den eigenen Bedürfnissen angepasst werden können. Die Ausgaben auf dem Bildschirm erfolgen sowohl grafisch
(Fortschrittsbalken mit/ohne zusätzliche Infos) als auch per Text. Folgende Möglichkeiten können aktiviert werden:

- EPG-Infos über die gerade laufende Sendung (Sender, Titel, Restdauer)
- Infos über die aktuelle angeschaute Aufnahme bzw. TimeShift (Sender, Titel, Restdauer)
- Infos über aktuell laufende Aufnahmen (Sender, Titel, Restdauer)
- Uhrzeit (mit Sekunden)
- Der Topf kann nach X Minuten heruntergefahren werden, wenn nach dem Start keine Taste gedrückt wird
- Mittels eigener definierter Tasten kann die Lautstärke des Topfes erhöht bzw. vermindert werden
